Clos Lapeyre’s attitude is to create wines that are natural, expressive, and real, while also respecting the plants, their physiology, and their environment. Located in the Juranon wine area, directly on the Pyrenees mountain range, seven vineyards make distinctive dry and dessert white wines, each with its unique characteristics, depending on the vintages and harvest date.
La Magendia de Lapeyre is 100% Petit Manseng. The nose is rich and spicy, with honey, candied exotic fruits, meddler, and vanilla. The sweetness of the palate is beautifully balanced by the acidity. The aftertaste is rather fresh, all in delicacy, and distinguished by minerality. Very elegant wine. Ideal with foie gras, Pyrenean sheep’s cheese, Barnaise andouille, and Roquefort.
