Domaine du Colombier has been owned by the Viale family since the end of World War I. In 1929, Florent and David Viales great-grandparents moved to the farm as sharecroppers and planted their first vineyard at the foot of the Hermitage hill, which amounted to little more than two acres. Today the farms tasks are split among the third generation vine-growers and brothers, Florent and David. The vineyards are planted and maintained with sustainability in mindthe estate employs organic farming methods, and all of the vine work, including harvest, is done by hand. Generational dedication and attention to excellence have preserved Domaine du Colombier as a widely recognized and robust name in this abundant region, and the Viale family continues to carry their exceptional wines to our glasses with pride.
